Daniel Shin, MD is the founder and managing partner of Cereus Real Estate.

He was raised on the East Coast by first generation immigrants who came to America in search of the American Dream. During his formative years, Daniel was taught the importance of education, hard work, and integrity.

After graduation as valedictorian of his public high school, Daniel attended Yale University where he majored in Philosophy. Next, he continued pre-medical studies at the University of Pennsylvania before entering medical school at the University of Pittsburgh.

Daniel's next stop was Los Angeles for residency training in urologic surgery at the University of Southern California. Next, after almost fifteen years of higher education, Daniel started his career as a surgeon.

Although his salary was substantial, Daniel saw the vast majority of his income quickly consumed by taxes and living costs. This taught him that true financial freedom exists only as a result of owning tax-efficient, income producing investments, AKA real estate!

He started to focus his investments into real estate and wrote about his journey on The Darwinian Doctor blog. There, he recorded his experience growing a portfolio of multifamily real estate investments worth over $9 million.

As his portfolio grew, Daniel saw first hand the ability of multifamily real estate to bring financial empowerment through cash flow, wealth growth, and tax efficiency.

Now via Cereus Real Estate, he seeks to bring the opportunity of real estate investing to others. His goal is to change the fabric of our nation's cities by providing quality housing, creating economic impact, and bringing our investors closer to true financial freedom.
